LED Ice Buoy Lantern E8291

The ekta™ Ice Buoy Lanterns E8291 utilize modern LED technology to provide omnidirectional flashing light beam for use on marine buoys around the year. The lantern body is machined from marine grade aluminium to provide optimal structural rigidity and to withstand the pressure of the packed ice. LED based light sources are housed in cavities covered by acryllic or polycarbonate lens. The enclosure houses a built-in flasher, a GSM/GPRS communications controller, a GPS receiver, and a GSM/GPS antenna. The cable plugs are located on the lower side of the lantern. The E829 Ice Bouy Lights are currently available in two versions: E8291 with 16 LEDs external diametre of 520 mm and E8293 with 18 LEDs and the external diametre of 460 mm. The E829X lanterns are currently available in one of the three colours: red, green, white.

The night time visibility range of the lanterns depending on the colour and flashing mode is up to 6 nm. In case of shorter visibility range requirements, the solid state flasher driving the LED array can be programmed for lower power output using pulse width modulation (PWM).

Features

  • Low profile and robust enclosure design to guarantee survival in ice and/or submerged conditions

  • A built-in solid state flasher for precision control of flashing in accordance with the pre-configured characteristics and  daylight dependent control of flashing (based the light sensor signal level)

  •
  • A built-in GSM/GPRS communication controller with integrated GPS receiver for cost effective remote monitoring and control, GPS based synchronisation, and optional synthetic AIS signalling

  •
  • Integrated solid state 3D acceleration sensor for optional buoy inclination and/or wave height monitoring

  •
  • Four flexible bird deterrents
