Charger E145

We regret to inform you that this product is DISCONTINUED; please find our current products here

The  purpose of the charger E145 is charging 12V/200...1000Ah batteries, using solar   or wind energy. It can be used for charging as Pb batteries  as well CdNi batteries. The charging current is  automatically controlled by taking into account the type and charge rate  of the battery and, the ambient temperature. This exclude the overcharging of the battery which would lead to boiling out of the electrolyte and thus, to the damage of the battery. The design of the charger is hermetic.

Features

  • Charging of 12V Pb or NiCd batteries in trickle charge mode. Charging current is up to 40A
  • Using solar panels (e.g. LA361 K51) and/or wind generators (e.g. Windside W03) as energy sources
  • Automatic control of charging current  taking into account  the type and charge rateof the battery and, the ambient temperature
  • Optimized charging  mode  for “DRAIFIT A400” (SONNENSCHEIN) Pb batteries and “SUNICA” (NIFE) NiCd batteries but also other types of  Pb and NiCd batteries can be charged.
  • Protection  of the batteries against overcharging and overload
  • Protection of the power supply system against the lightning discharges  and other sources of high voltages by using dedicated input protection module between the outputs of energy sources and, inputs of the charger (optional)
  • Hermetic design

*) If the load current does not exceed 10A then the charger can be operational during unlimited time.
**) If the load current is approaching 10A then the charger can be operational during up to 15 minutes, operating during more time, the resourses of the charger can be diminished. When the load current or the charging current exceed  the maximal value, the charger will be switched off by  the protection units.
***) The lower limit of the temperature is actually limited with the lowest acceptable  temperature of the battery.
